THE VITAL BEE PAW BALM is a pet grooming aid, the counterpart of a human cosmetic. It is formulated with only a few food grade and functional ingredients that moisturize, protect, and soothe the paws of your dogs and cats. The first ingredient is high activity [530+ MG/KG of Methylglyoxyl (MGO) ] Manuka Honey, known for its moisturizing and antibacterial properties. Sourced directly from registered apiaries in a small region of rural New Zealand under the control of the Ministry of Primary Industries, each batch is analyzed to verify its identity and active components before it is imported into the US. Our Paw Balm is produced in small batches in a local FDA approved commercial kitchen following strict temperature control that preserves the active components.

MANUKA HONEY
High Activity Manuka Honey is a monofloral (single source) honey
from the nectar of the flowering Manuka Tree, native to New Zealand and is non-GMO. Each batch is analyzed for dietary MGO, a naturally occurring
organic compound found in high concentrations in Manuka Honey.
This correlates to its antibacterial benefits and has been shown to heal
external wounds, acting as a natural humectant to moisturize skin.
Manuka Honey is approved by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel (CIR) and the National Institute of Health (NIH), which states
"Manuka Honey exerts emollient, humectant, and soothing effects". The Manuaka Honey we use is not sterile and should not be used on any open sores or wounds on animals or humans. Only medical grade Manuka Honey that has been sterilized is safe for these applications.
MCT OIL
USDA Organic and produced from 100% coconut oil.
In addition to the moisturizing and soothing qualities of MCT oil (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride) has antimicrobial and antifungal effects.
COCONUT OIL
Our coconut oil is cold pressed, unrefined, USDA Organic,
and is produced from fresh, white coconut meat. It is used in cosmetics as a
moisturizer, conditioner, and for relief of skin irritation. Coconut oil contains
Lauric Acid, shown to have antiviral, anti-bacterial, and antifungal properties.
BEESWAX, YELLOW USDA ORGANIC
Used to provide a protective barrier for water resistance and to texturize the
balm. The color is due to the presence of propolis and pollen.
Beeswax is said to contain antibacterial agents.
VEGETABLE GLYCERIN
USDA Organic, our vegetable glycerine functions as a
humectant that softens and moisturizes.
COLLOIDAL OATMEAL WITH BRAN
Organic Colloidal Oatmeal with Bran is used as a moisturizer and is known to prevent
and treat dry, rough, and itchy skin conditions. It is reported
in an NIH review to perform as an effective antioxidant
and anti-inflammatory agent.
SUNFLOWER LECITHIN
USDA Organic it is commonly used as a skin softener and helps emulsify ingredients. It is commonly used in foods and cosmetics.
VITAMIN E
Our D-Alpha Tocopherol is USDA Organic and used as a
skin softener, conditioner, and antioxidant.
